Drilling Industry Leaders Group
Energy Skills Queensland invites you to the Drilling Industry Leaders Group forum on Tuesday, 22 November 2016 at our office on Sylvan Road in Toowong.
The Queensland Drilling Industry Leaders Group provides an effective forum for industry, training organisations and government to identify workforce and training issues. The intent is to collaboratively develop strategies which effectively address and resolve these identified issues.
Newly appointed Chief Inspector, Bill Date and Acting Deputy Chief Inspector Darryl Brooker, will be attending the forum to provide an update from the Petroleum and Gas Safety and Health Inspectorate (Department of Natural Resources and Mines).
Stakeholders at the forum will elect a Chairperson for the Drilling Industry Leaders Group whom will commence in 2017. Nominations for the position of Chairperson for the Drilling Industry Leaders Group are now being sought. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
DILG Chairperson responsibilities are:
- invite specialists to attend DILG forum,
- guide the forum according to the agenda/time available,
- ensure all discussion items end with a decision, action or definite outcome, and
- review and approve draft minutes before distribution.
NOTE: The Training and Leaders groups have been merged, both taking place from 11:00am – 12:30pm on Tuesday, November 22.
