Energy Supply Generation Industry Leaders and Training Group

Energy Skills Queensland has been engaged by the Energy Supply Generation Industry to assist with engaging Queensland stakeholders in order to plan the future of the UEP training package.

This meeting intends to provide a forum for the Queensland Electricity Generation Industry leaders and training stakeholders to discuss workforce skill needs and issues, and identify opportunities for collaboration and improvement.

Significant issues to be covered at the meeting are:

· Recent changes to training system arrangements around the Generation training package

· Current rolling workplan for updates to the training package

· Increasing use of the training package across the industry in recent years, and how it is offering value (or not) to the industry

· Requirements for a regular Queensland Generation Industry Training forum.

The interim chair of the Industry Reference Committee, namely Richard Harvey of AGL, will be in attendance along with representation from Australian Industry Standards, the Skills Service Organisation for the industry.

The agenda for the meeting can be found here.
